My Story My dream growing up was always to be a teacher. I “played school” well past 4th grade. My first experiences of serving within the Archdiocese took place each Sunday as I assisted my grandmother in teaching CCD at my parish, St. Joseph’s, in Cheltenham. My paternal grandmother taught in the Archdiocese for over 25 years. There was little doubt that teaching was my calling.
I attended Bishop McDevitt high-school, and graduated in 1996. I was an active member of the esteemed Royal Masque. The college years reaffirmed for me my desire to teach. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the opportunities to be within local elementary schools. Upon my graduation with honors from Bloomsburg University, I eagerly sought out a teaching position. I taught 4th grade at St. Martin of Tours in Philadelphia and at St. John of the Cross in Roslyn. In the summer months, I directed senior camp for middle school aged children for ESF summer camps. I have been a member of the GSC community since its inception in 2010. I thank God every day for the opportunity to inspire, teach and guide our youth. My husband Michael and I married at St. John of the Cross. We have been blessed with our daughters, Jane and Kyra.. Our family enjoys spending time in Sea Isle City, NJ and camping in PA’s state parks. We are members of Queen of Peace Parish. I love the community that we work, worship, and raise our family in.
